"Enhanced" Nurse Licensure Compact

The Iowa Board of Nursing introduced legislation in the 2017 Legislative Session to adopt the "Enhanced" Nurse Licensure Compact and the APRN Compact. On April 21, 2017, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad signed SF419, the "Enhanced" Nurse Licensure Compact, into law. The APRN Compact did not advance in the 2017 session. As of 1/19/2018, there were enough states to form the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact. Learn more by reading the historical information at these links:
