You can apply for an initial ARNP license online under IBON Online Services and then - Apply for Initial License as an ARNP. The fee for licensure is $81.00 and can be paid by credit card through the online application.
The same process applies as the question above, except, that you must also include a photocopy of your active RN License from your primary state of residence.
Yes, if you move to Iowa or a Non-Compact State, the Registered Nurse License currently held is no longer valid. You must apply for an Iowa Registered Nurse License by Endorsement.
Obtaining the ARNP license depends on receipt of all the required documentation. Once all required documentation is received, applications are processed in the order received.

Iowa does not mail renewal notification to licensees. Sixty (60) days prior to expiration you will be allowed to renew both the RN and the ARNP licenses. Your RN license must be kept ACTIVE in order to maintain an active ARNP license. If you reside in another compact state, active RN licensure MUST be held in that state. Note: The RN license must be renewed first. To receive reminders to renew your license, sign up for Nursys e-Notify at www.nursys.com
