You can apply for an initial ARNP license online under IBON Online Services and then - Apply for Initial License as an ARNP. The forms are also on this website under Licensure. There you will see the Instructions for ARNP, Application for ARNP and the ARNP Request for Nursing Transcript form. You will have to print the paper copies of the forms and submit your application by mail with a copy of your certification card. The fee of $81.00 can be paid with a personal check or money order made payable to the Iowa Board of Nursing.
The same process applies as the question above, except, that you must also include a photocopy of your active RN License from your primary state of residence.
Obtaining the ARNP license depends on receipt of all the required documentation. The ARNP applications are processed and issued two times per week on Tuesday and Friday.
Iowa does not mail renewal notification to licensees. Expiration dates are on the wallet card received and available online. If you reside in another compact state, active RN licensure MUST be held in that state. Note: The RN License must be renewed first.
