Walk-in Policy
The Iowa Board of Nursing office is not staffed to handle walk-in processing of any forms or applications. The materials and fees will be accepted but not processed while you wait. The processing of paperwork will be handled in the order they are received and as quickly as possible.
The receptionist may not know answers to specific questions regarding continuing education and will not be able to assist with form completion. If you have specific questions, please e-mail the board office at ibon@iowa.gov, or call the board office at 515.281.3255.
Directions to the Iowa Board of Nursing Office
Route from the West:
Follow Interstate (I-235) to the Martin Luther King exit. Turn right off the exit ramp and proceed to MLK Downtown (stay in the far left lane). This is a turning lane only and will place you on MLK Downtown East. Proceed to 7th Street and turn right or south. Next turn right on Murphy. Entry to the parking lot is located at Murphy & 9th Street.
Route from the East or North:
Follow Interstate (I-235) to the Keo Way Exit (South). Continue on Keo Way (South) as it merges onto 9th St. towards downtown. Follow 9th Street over the viaduct and turn left on Murphy (the second street). The entry to the parking lot is located here.
Route from the South:
Proceed northbound on S.W. 9th Street across the river bridge toward the downtown area. Just beyond where the road divides, which puts you on S.W. 8th Street, turn left on Murphy and enter the parking lot.
The entrance to our offices is located in the southwest corner of the building.
